Acupuncture & Traditional Chinese Medicine in Didsbury, Manchester

I have lived in Britain for 30 years, after leaving Hong Kong. I practise acupuncture in my Didsbury Acupuncture Clinic in Didsbury, South of Manchester. I am a member of the British Acupuncture Council and was trained both in Britain and China. I offer treatment for people who experience chronic or acute symptoms affecting the physical and emotional level of their life. I also treat back pain, muscular and joint pains caused from injuries, or caused by general occupational health problems.

Acupuncture is a holistic approach to healing. I want my treatments to help people

• regain their health and the feeling of wellbeing,

• learn and understand more about their bodily functions,

• build their confidence so that they can maintain and take care of their
health.

In my treatment, I am involved with my patients at every step of their recovery process. I include advice on exercises, improving incorrect postures, general health and dieting for a healthier lifestyle suitable for each individual. Being a Chinese acupuncturist, I believe that ‘health’ is an art in everyday living.

What is Acupuncture?

Acupuncture is one of the main components of Traditional Chinese Medicine which has been practised for thousands of years in China. Acupuncture has become one of the most researched and documented of the alternative medical practices in Britain. Current clinically-controlled studies show that acupuncture can effectively treat many of the following chronic and acute conditions:

• asthma, hayfever, migraine,

• arthritis, rheumatism, osteoarthritis, back pain, sciatica,
frozen shoulder, joint and muscular aches & pains, cramp,
• anxiety, stress, headahces, insomnia, palpitations,
chest complaints, high blood pressure,
panic attacks, depression, tinnitus,

• infertility, menstrual problems, menopausal problems,

• fatique, M.E., fibrositis & lumps, recurrent colds & infections,

• skin problems

• feelings of being ‘run down’,

• circulatory problems, digestion disorder,

• facial paralysis, post-stroke recovery,

• post-operative recovery,

• parkinsons disease,

• bowel & urinary problems,

• pregnancy problems, post-natal care.

Acupuncture treatment is suitable for adults and young children. I also use massage, another main component of Traditional Chinese Medicine, together with acupuncture in my treatments, helping people to

• recover from chronic or acute symptoms,

• restore energy and the balance of their physical and emotional health,

• rebuild a healthy lifestyle and the feeling of wellbeing.
